Paintings from this show delve into figures contemplating still life or wandering among 'altars' built from objects, serving as guardians and personifications of our loneliness in crucial life moments. The inspiration stems from my family's noble history, notably my grandfather's struggles to rebuild after the devastation of the First World War. Through depictions of intimate scenes with family heirlooms, I aim to capture the fascination with history-soaked objects, portraying figures entranced in memories and worlds within the totems they create.
